Becker named best Brazilian football player in Europe

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker was named as the best Brazilian football player, received 35.54 percent of the vote, of 2019 playing in Europe. He won the Samba Gold award for the first time as a goalkeeper.
Brazilian journalists, football players and users of social networks took part in the vote. He finished ahead of teammate Roberto Firmino, the 2018 winner, in second (23.48 percent) and Thiago Silva in third (10.46 percent). Liverpool midfielder Fabinho was fourth as well as Neymar, a former Barcelona forward, was the fifth.
Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup triumphs with the Reds sandwiched Copa America glory for his country led the goalkeeper to achieve the award.
